“Annie” at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater
“Annie” tells the story of a spunky, optimistic orphan in 1930s New York City who endures a miserable life at a cruel orphanage run by Miss Hannigan, but whose luck changes dramatically when she's chosen to spend Christmas with billionaire "Daddy" Warbucks, eventually winning his heart and leading to a nationwide search for her long-lost parents, all while thwarting the schemes of Miss Hannigan and her cronies to claim the reward.
The musical follows Annie's adventures as she finds a new family and brings hope to a country struggling during the Great Depression, famously singing about a brighter future in "Tomorrow.”
