Join ECFE’s fall book club to discuss "The Anxious Generation" by acclaimed social psychologist Jonathan Haidt. The book investigates the link between ‘overprotection’ in the real world and ‘underprotection’ in the virtual world. A healthy relationship with technology begins early, and it helps to have a community with which you can feel confident setting expectations and norms for your family. We will dig into the book to understand the research on technology and mental health, and identify ‘guilt free’ action steps parents can take to foster children’s independence and overall well-being.
