“Deck the Halls” at the Swedish Institute

Step back in time and discover the only castle in the Twin Cities, the historic Turnblad Mansion, beautifully decorated for the upcoming holidays. Through a tailored lens we will discover the unique historic museum and cultural center. Our day will include a tour and smorgasbord lunch at the Swedish Institute.  Afterwards we will head to Ingebretsens where you will have time to browse the gift store where they have quality imports and one-of-a-kind creations made by local Nordic artisans. Along with the gift store is the well known butcher shop and deli where specialty Scandinavian deli items are made daily from original recipes; rows of imported cheeses; and shelves lined with imported delicacies in boxes, cans, and jars. Ingebretsen's also makes dozens of meat products that aren't available anywhere else in town. Some of the butchers have worked behind the same counter for more than 40 years. Don't miss this opportunity to go back in time and visit Scandinavia without ever leaving Minnesota.
