Bob Ross “Wet-on-Wet” Oil Painting

Join Julie as she shows you how you too can learn to paint like Bob Ross. This is a painting technique that anyone can do, even if you have never painted a day in your life. During class, Julie will explain and show you how to prep the canvas, load your brushes, and the technique to use to get your desired effect. Then, you will have time to work on your painting with instructor assistance. This painting technique can be very therapeutic and a great confidence builder. Who knows, you may find a talent that you never knew you had! Ages 14+. Class fee includes all supplies.

Instructor

As a passionate artist, my love for painting blossomed over the years and reached a pivotal moment in December 2014 when I attended the Bob Ross Landscape Certification Training in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, while living in Lake City, Minnesota. That experience led to my certification as a Certified Ross Instructor (CRI) and marked the beginning of an incredible artistic journey teaching others.

Since then, I have expanded my expertise by earning certifications in Bob Ross’s Wet-on-Wet® landscape, floral (CRFI), and wildlife (CRWI) techniques. In the spring of 2022, I furthered my training by completing Donna Dewberry’s One Stroke Certification I, followed shortly by Certification II.

Over the past ten years, I have primarily taught throughout central Florida, while also traveling during the summer months to offer classes in Alabama, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. I now reside in Red Wing, Minnesota, where I teach at various locations across Minnesota and Wisconsin.

Some highlights of my teaching career include hosting a Bob Ross painting cruise to Cozumel, Mexico, in February 2020 and leading a four-day workshop in Guntersville, Alabama, in the summer of 2022.

In my classes, I guide students step-by-step through canvas preparation and painting techniques, providing encouragement and hands-on support throughout the process. By the end of each session, participants leave with a finished painting—and the confidence and skills to continue their artistic journey.
