Fall Asian Art Workshop with Lim ChenArts and CraftsJoin us for a 3-day Asian art workshop taught by visiting artist Lim Chen! This is a great chance for artists to hone their Asian brush painting skills and connect with other local artists. Many participants will have experience in brush painting and can inspire one another. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to learn Asian brush painting from a master artist!Participants can register for one, two, or all three days of the workshop, held at Woodlake Meeting Center in the Birch Room. The workshop will run from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM each day, with a one-hour break for lunch. Coffee and tea will be available, but please pack your own lunch. Each participant will receive a large 6x3 foot piece of rice paper per day of the workshop, but should also bring their own supplies (ink, brushes, newsprint for practice). Lim Chen is not only a master artist but also has a charming personality. She understands some English but will conduct the workshop in Korean. Our goal of the School Age Child Care Program is to provide a variety of developmentally appropriate activities including arts/crafts, STEM activities, self-directed play, field trips, library, tech time, physical activities (indoor/outdoor), community service, and to offer an environment where homework is encouraged. You will register for summer and school year care separately based on your family needs. Registrations are reviewed in the order they are received in our online system and can take up to ten (10) business days to process. You will learn how to upset the metal, use the pein of the hammer to move metal, pierce the spike using a chisel, and heat treat to harden the edge.
